A cloudy day out here on the other side of the world. We are once again in busy shipping lanes, in fact last night around midnight I took a walk on the very top level of the ship to see the stars. No stars but a fair amount of distant bright lights on the sea’s surface. Some active fishing is going on out there.
BIG NEWS from our Captain. He announced around lunch time that we would not be going to Egypt. The decision was made by Holland America’s Corporate headquarters based on the advice they were given by government officials. Most of the passengers realize that this is for our safety. We will now be spending 2 days in Israel and another in Oman. I am o.k. with all of this, how else could I be??? I did have a tour to see the pyramids which will be cancelled and now I’ll make plans for the other port of calls.
Going with the flow, it’s all out of my control.
